Started by group of high school friends, Robert and Joseph who played guitars along with Joven G. on keyboards. Another friend, Joven C., joined and played drums with the group.

The band was named by Robin, who joined the group as the vocalist, 'Sequel' and persuaded the band to join UST Battle of the Bands. Fortunately, the band won which marked the birth of 'The Sequel'. Since then, the band had been busy playing around the country. The first original song, written/composed by Robert/Robin is called 'The Sign'. Aired on the radio (NU 107.5) and signed up in a compilation album NU Rock the Album released nationwide. The band also played regularly with several San Miguel Events and Promotions like October Fest.

A tragic event happened with the group when the house where the band rehearsed was burned down. All instruments were turned into ashes. The band had to lay low for a while. The group still played some minor gig with Joven G on vocals as Robin had to leave. The group last gig as Sequel was in Bicol University.

Robert, Joseph, Joven G and Joven C. started another band called 'Kultopinis'. Recorded an album entitled Soul Blind. The songs included are Lost in Your Head, Days of no Pain, Edge of the Cliff, God Knows, Silenced, Last Bread, In a Child's Dream, Insanity, Lakbay and Soul Blind. The band was featured and played live in the UNTV show 'In the Raw'. Joven (drummer) that time had to leave for Los Angeles and was then replaced by Allan. The band lasted for about one to two years, disbanded when Robert left for Los Angeles and started a band with Joven called 'Grand Fools Derby'.

The band regrouped again when Robert went back to Manila and started recording songs. The band is currently in the process of recording songs for the album.
